Welcome to the Equal Opportunity Fund Website
The EOF, established in 1986 is an independent, non-profit grant making agency
based in Cape Town, operating in all nine provinces. The EOF funds projects that
are focused on uplifting the standards of living of the historically disadvantaged
communities mainly targeting poverty pockets in both rural and urban areas. The
foundation's grant making programme seeks to reduce unemployment, alleviate poverty
and capacitate both project participants and interested community members. The
approach is to ensure sustainability of the projects by focusing on management
and relevant skills training.

The EOF aims to be a credible, focused and participatory developmental
organisation in South Africa.

To provide development capacity in a manner that enhances human dignity and facilitates the development initiatives of the poor, rural and urban communities through partnerships with non-profit organisations and relevant stakeholders.
